Today missing assignment reports are going home. Students have until Thursday to get any late assignments from term one turned in.
We are finishing up our sustainability unit with some poetry about our environment. We have started our unit on electricity in science and are going to begin discussing residential schools as a theme in literacy and treaties in social studies. We are continuing to work on our multiplication and all students are encouraged to practice at home.
Tomorrow is the SAC career day spirit day. All students are encouraged to dress up as something they would like to be in their future. Creativity is encouraged!
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and wish all families all the best in 2017. Many students have outstanding assignments. I have asked all students to finish these by tomorrow (Friday, January 20th). Some of these assignments include: Lorax reading and writing, sustainability footprint, and the 5 day food log.
In math we are working on multiplication. Each student should be completing the homework practice booklet each night. Attached is a video we watched in class today to review multiplication on multi-digit by one digit multiplication questions.
I cannot believe it is already December! We have so many fun events happening around our school this month.
In literacy we are studying biographies of famous people. We have been very excited reading a book we have individually selected in order to learn more about people from the past and present! We are also working through the writing process writing our own autobiography. Our 2nd draft is to be typed onto a google document by Monday. Next week, we are going to learn how to share documents with each other and comment on the work of our peers. We will also improve our own autobiographies. Feel free to read and improve your autobiography from home!
Santa store is next Thursday. Please bring $2.00 before Thursday to pay for gifts for your whole family!
Thanks again for everyone who attended conferences last Friday.
Two assignments are due tomorrow.

We will be heading off to Agribition this Thursday. The students are very excited and are looking forward to the day. We thank our parent volunteers for making this day possible in advance. Yesterday, we talked about how animals have the right of way at Agribition and how while we are visiting, the farmers are busy doing business. Last week we classified seeds using a classification chart. We hope that we can find these seeds in the Family Ed. Pavilion on Thursday!
It is also milk week at Rosemont! There is a poster contest happening. Students will receive a little class time today to get started. All posters will be due by Friday morning to be entered into the school draw for a milk week prize.
Welcome to our classroom blog. I will add reminders and assignments that are due as much as possible! Feel free to email or add a comment if you have any questions. I would also like to remind you to access your parent portal to view your son or daughters marks.
Friday journals should be coming home at the end of every week. Please read and sign or write a note back to your child each week.
